#DearArtiste is known to be a trail blazer and a leading brand in celebrating emerging and unsigned artistes. We have further recognized the special plight of female upcoming artistes in the Nigerian music industry and having observed how they are marginalized and given less opportunities to reach their full potential. In view of this, we have decided to dedicate this edition of the #DearArtiste Monthly Digest to celebrate four Immensely Talented and Hardworking female Artistes, who have shown what they have to offer and proven that they can be trusted to deliver good music. These ladies were nominated to be featured on the #DearArtiste Monthly Digest and your votes got Zara Gretti on the cover page.
Wow!!! Its one month already and another edition is here already! I can't help but say thank you everyone for making the first edition of the #DearArtiste PDF digest a mega success! I believe this edition will receive more downloads because we have so much enlightening information packed into this one. It is quite hard for an unknown talent to break into the industry, especially with money and connections being the determining factor in most cases, but all hope is not lost yet. That glimmer of hope is what we bring in this edition.
Building a career in music is not a one day job, neither is it as easy as a lot of people will like to assume. The Nigerian entertainment/music industry is not exactly friendly towards emerging artistes too (Especially if you're not a rich kid with access to "right people" in the "right places"). However, where there is a will, there definitely is a way out. And that's why #Dearartiste is here to provide an online resource center, where upcoming acts can learn what to do, and how to do it. Knowledge they say is power and wisdom is the proper application of knowledge, so as an upcoming artiste, be wise and properly apply the knowledge you gain from these articles.
